History
- In August 1998, CBS Corporation (formerly
Westinghouse Electric Corporation) sold its worldwide Power Generation
business unit to Siemens.
- In Canada, the Power Generation
business consisted of the Hamilton turbine and generator business, and
the electrical service business.
- Siemens assumed the pension obligations for all employees, past and present, of the Power Generation businesses.
- All
other activities of the former Westinghouse Canada Inc. were
transferred to CBS Canada, including the pension obligations not
assumed by Siemens.
- Westinghouse Pension Services provides administrative services to CBS Canada and its pension plan members.
